Day 1 Arrival in Marrakech:
We will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to the hotel with the possibility of first contact in the famous Jamaà el fena square.
Day 2 Visit of Marrakech:
Your visit of the city starting with the Menara gardens with its pond, the Saadian tombs where the founders of the city are located, the Bahia Palace – residence of the former vizier. ; Koutobia with its splendid minaret, to finish in the impressive DJemma El-Fná Square which during the day is a fabulous souk and at night a magical spectacle.
Day 3 Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate:
Leaving Marrakech at 8:00 in the morning and after picking you up wherever you are we will leave for Ouarzazate. On the way we will cross the Atlas through the amazing Tizi n’Tichka port, 2,260 meters high. Shortly after crossing the Atlas, we will take a track to visit the Kasbah of Pacha Glaoui in Telouet. Passing through various Berber villages we will arrive at the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, an incredible fortified city over 800 years old. In her films like Gladiator or the Kingdom of the Skies have been filmed. At the end of the visits, we will go to Ouarzazate, where you can visit the film studios. And there where we will spend the first night.
Day 4 Ouarzazate – Agdez – Draa Valley – Mharech Gorges (Dakar trail):
After a delicious breakfast and visiting the Kasbah Taourirt, we will depart in the direction of Zagora crossing the mountains of the Anti-Atlas and passing through the port of Tizin Tinifift, at 1,600 meters high. Entering the Draa Valley along a track we will see various Berber villages and kasbahs inside. Leaving behind the N’kob, Tarazine and Alnif villages, we will take another track that crosses lost villages until we reach the Mharech Gorges. Many of these sections are those that are covered during the Dakar Rally.
Day 5 Mharech Gorges – Oasis Ramlia – Ouzina Dunes – Merzouga:
Continuing along the Dakar Rally track we will cross more lonely villages, we will cross Uadis (dry channels), oases and the Ouzina dunes. Following the route, we will visit the well-known town of Khamlia, a descendant of the slaves who arrived from Africa, and you can enjoy its amazing folk music. From Khamlia we will take the road towards Erg Chebbi, the highest dunes in Morocco.
Day 6 Merzouga – Erg Chebbi – Merzouga:
This will be a stage where after breakfast, we will go through another of the tracks that they use in the “Paris-Dakar Rally” visiting desert nomads with whom you will have tea and see the oasis where some movies like “Sahara” were filmed, starring Penelope Cross. We will visit the village of “the blacks”, named for the slave trade they brought from the Sudan, and after eating we will change the 4 × 4 traction to that of the animal traction. The dromedaries will enter the dune desert to contemplate an unforgettable sunset. This night will be so special, we will sleep in the dunes in nomadic tents (khaimas), as the Berbers do. Here we will enjoy a Berber dinner, music and a starry sky like you have never seen.
Day 7 Merzourga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley:
After seeing the amazing sunrise in the desert we will take the camels again to return to “civilization”. We will stop at a hotel so you can take a relaxing shower and cool off. Once cleared, we will leave in the direction of Rissani, origin of the Alauí dynasty and the first imperial city of Morocco. Then we will take the road in the direction of Erfoud, rich in black stone and marine fossils (if you want, we can stop at a fossil factory) and we will arrive at the Palmeral de Tafilalet. Finally, we will visit the Roda Gorges and arrive at the Dades Valley.
Day 8 Dades Valley – Roses Valley – Skoura – Marrakech:
Leaving the Dades Valley behind the “Thousand Kasbahs” route, we will pass through the amazing pinkie Valley of Roses and reach the palm grove of Skoura, where the most famous kasbah in the area is located. From this point we will start the way back to Marrakech and eat along the way. In the end we will arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon.
